We usually hit up Sunny Point (a place I could wax poetic about for some time.) However, going to Sunny Point requires an insane degree of patience to weather the sizeable wait. By then our experience was just really disappointing.Back to in one of my favorite cities Asheville, I went to brunch, as is our long running custom, with my friend Jon. Her response was, "I will have it re-made but when you come in this time of day it can happen." Wow-just wow!!! So what time of day do we need to come in? Anyway, my pork was hot, my poached egg was hard inside, couldn't find the jalapeno pimento or the maple syrup. He told the server he had seen it sitting there so she waited while he tried it and of course it was cold. Well about three minutes later, it arrived at our table. He said "Well it's cold whoever it belongs to". We discussed maybe it was a forgotten order. An open-faced biscuit with fried green tomato, brie, tomato, two poached eggs, and smoked tomato hollandaise. Three orders came out and the chicken biscuit was still sitting there. An open-faced biscuit topped with charred scallion cream cheese, fresh tomatoes, two poached eggs, hollandaise, roasted red peppers, and a tossed kale salad. From where we were sitting my husband could see the cooks and the counter. I ordered the pulled pork biscuit and my husband ordered the mimosa fried chicken biscuit. We were so excited to stop in for lunch as my husband and I both work and we can never seem to make it to this place during their business hours.
